Your day begins in Manapouri with a cruise across the picturesque Lake Manapouri followed by a trip across New Zealand's most expensive road over the Wilmot Pass, pausing along the way to experience the dense Fiordland rainforest and view Doubtful Sound glistening far below.

In Doubtful Sound, you will board our spacious catamaran for a three-hour cruise through the pristine fiord. During the cruise our knowledgeable and friendly nature guides will share with you their passion for the region through their commentary. Check in with our friendly crew at the Lake Manapouri visitor centre which hosts a small cafe which is the last possible point to purchase any food. Cruise by ferry across Lake Manapouri; often referred to as the most beautiful lake in the world. Your skipper will give you insightful and entertaining commentary while you take in the views and enjoy free tea / coffee on board. Then take the coach over the breathtaking Wilmot Pass and learn the history of the most expensive road in the world with relaxed, fun facts from your driver. When you arrive at Deep Cove in untouched Doubtful Sound you will spend 3 leisurely hours exploring the full length of the fiord to the Tasman Sea and return. On board, take advantage of the free tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water that is available. A microwave is also provided on board for all to use so feel free to bring your own food with you. Your vessel has an intimate max capacity of 45, allowing you to enjoy the sound of true wilderness from the heated indoor area or the outdoor viewing deck. After your cruise your coach will be waiting to take you back to Lake Manapouri for one last look at the Fiordland wilderness. You will board a ferry again and you can relax during the commentary-free return to the visitor centre.
