Classic Motorcycle Mecca is New Zealand's premier motorcycle museum. Find the largest display of classic motorcycles in the country with a collection ranging from 1902 - 2007.

Once housed in Nelson and known as NZ Classic Motorcycles the entire collection was sold to Transport World in May 2016. Given Transport World's natural enthusiasm for wheels and, Invercargill's celebrated obsession with motorcycles, it presented an opportunity of a lifetime. Widely regarded to be a world class display, this brand new motorcycle museum houses over 300 motorcycles and motorcycle related artwork. All artwork is motorcycle related with some pieces considered just as valuable as the bikes. The collection is currently under-going a major redevelopment to expand, diversify and include interests for everyone. This project will be complete by the end of 2018.

Classic Motorcycle Mecca is located in the centre of town in a beautifully restored 1930's style building. It takes approximately 1-2 hours to view (enthusiasts will need an entire day!). During the Winter months we recommend that you bring your jacket as it can get quite chilly within the collection. Your ticket is a day long pass. You are more than welcome to come and go as you please throughout the day, please ask for a wristband from the gift shop. 'Meccaspresso' is our delicious onsite café. Guests can expect nothing less than a superb, fresh and ever changing menu. Bookings can be made via +64 (0)3 214 3022.
